Farewell to Jumbo

November 2, 2008

Today is the day when an era has ended. An era of grit, determination, fierce competitive spirit, unparalleled dedication and great talent has come to an end. Anil Kumble has retired. A man who has won us the most number of matched, a man who was for long denied the most deserving honour of captaincy has finally called it a day.

He has served Indian cricket with immense dedication and spirit. From my childhood he has been my most favourite cricketer. A cricketer with whom i have shared a personal attachment.

Great Job Jumbo..

And Thank You so much. It has been a pleasure watching you on and off the cricket field.
